Tamara Thompson - Essential Hero - Memorial Fund
Tamara spent her days selflessly caring for others and put her own safety on the line as an essential hero. She was a nurse at the VA and Methadone clinics who ensured her patients were healthy and safe. Unfortunately, giving her time unselfishly, day in and day out to others, she contracted COVID which quickly took her life.
Tamara was so much more than a caregiver of others:
She was a sister; she dedicated her personal time to her church - The Life Center Ministries which she enjoyed being a part of and spent every Sunday praising and thanking the Lord, Our Father, and celebrating life and the good word. She believed in faith, was proud to belong, and would invite everyone to watch videos of Sunday Service for the opportunity to also hear all that’s good.
She was a mother; and leaves behind 3 young men: Micah (20), Noah (16), and Elijah (12). Tamara loved her boys unconditionally and taught them the true meaning of hard work and doing what’s right and good. As a single mom, she sacrificed and worked tirelessly to ensure her boys were taken care of, provided for, and loved. What little she had she would give to them; putting her sons before herself because she loved them so much.
She was a friend; if she called you “friend“ she meant it. If you needed something and she had it, it was yours. If you needed someone to listen or talk to, she was there. If you needed someone to have your back or a laugh, she could always be counted on to be there for you. We were blessed to have a friend like her!
She was family; whether you are a blood relative, work family, church family, or family by choice-Tamara loved each and every one of us. She was dedicated to her family and supported us with her many layers; Superhero, Friend, Family, or Mother!
Tamara was called home way too soon and there’s so much that has to be done to celebrate her and take care of her sons. Please give what you can; there is no amount too small and all contributions are very much appreciated!
