National Student Leadership Conference 2023

My name is Tameyah Blessyn Hooks and I am a 15 year old, 10th grade student attending Northside High School, in Columbus, Georgia. Recently I was chosen and invited to represent my school at the 2023 National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) where I will have the opportunity to dive into one of 30 exciting, hands-on professional career programs. Since I can remember, my dream has been to become a part of the fashion/entertainment industry and or to study and major in performing arts. So when I received my invitation letter I was overly excited as this opportunity will allow me a chance to explore that passion and provide greater insight on my desired areas or study.

This year the program is set to take place on the campuses of 12 of our nation’s top universities and upon completion of the NSLC program, I will be awarded a Letter of Recommendation, Academic Transcript, and Certificate of Achievement. I would also be eligible to earn and receive college credits from the American University.

However, with all great things comes a price to pay or and the purpose of this fundraiser is to ask for your help in making this dream opportunity a reality. I am in need of sponsors to help me pay for travel, room and board and tuition for 9 to 18 days while staying on campus and attending the program. Any contributions you can give towards helping me to attend this confrence, in a effort to get a head start to enhancing my knowledge and education for future career opportunities would be greatly appreciated.
