Tamim Ansari Funeral Fund for the Ansari Family

We tragically lost Tamim Ansari (41) this past weekend. He passed away in his sleep at home with family. Tamim never had an easy life but always kept a smile on his face and love in his heart. Not many of you know that he was born in Kabul, Afghanistan during the beginning of the Cold War and he and his family started their path for immigrating to the United States just shortly after Tamim's first Birthday. Tamim has always been proud of his Afghani heritage and his US citizenship. He held both the traditions of his native country's strong bond of family and cherished the freedom his family longed for in the US.
Tamim touched so many people's lives in so many different ways that only now after his passing do we truly see how many people's lives he impacted. From his love for music, his newly found woodworking passion, or how he turned his own struggles in life to be an inspirational story and a pillar of strength for his community. Tamim may have not had always told you what you wanted to hear and loved to argue, but he always made sure to tell you how he felt in the most compassionate and empathetic way that he could.
Since his passing, so many people have reached out to us with so many heartwarming stories. From stories of Tamim walking past a group of friends to hug and welcome a newcomer to the family as if he had always been there, and how that hug inspired him to give back. To how Tamim, who never played softball, jumped at the opportunity to coach his daughter's softball team.
Family was the most important thing for Tamim. After his father passed away, Tamim helped take care of his Mother, his disabled Auntie, and his two younger sisters and their children. Tamim shared his life with his wife, Elizabeth (39), and her children, James (aka French Toast, 13), Rhys( aka Cheese, 12) and Juliette (aka Boooger- "out of all the boogers in the world I chose you" 10)
Please feel free to share any stories or memories you may have of Tamim, we would love to see them in the comments.
We are attempting to raise funds for his funeral his service and to help support his family in this time of need. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to contact Elizabeth Ansari.
