Tamissa's Brain Surgery Fund

Hello to all family and friends. A lot of you may already be aware, but Tamissa suffers from a rare condition known as Chiari Malformation. This rare, debilitating congenital condition in which the brain tissue extends into the spinal canal, causing severe headache and neck pain, increased pressure on the brain, problems with balance, coordination, vision and speech, insomnia, depression along with a host of other complications that make day to day living a sometimes an almost impossible task. On April 22, Tamissa had surgery to hopefully correct the problem. After her release from the hospital the initial plan was a 6-8 week recovery time. She has been bed ridden for most of the time, unable to care for herself or work. She has required 24 hour around the clock care in anticipation of recovery. Unfortunately complications from her surgery have risen, and on May 22, she was admitted back into the hospital facing the prospects of another surgery that would require another 6-8 weeks for recovery. I have been doing everything in my power to provide the care that she needs, along with the assistance of family and friends. I am a full time firefighter at the Gallatin Fire Department in Gallatin, TN and have depleted most of my vacation and paid time off to provide the care she needs. I am doing everything I possibly can to keep up with her care and continue to work, but there are areas where any assistance would be greatly appreciated. This wonderful mom, grandmother, daughter, friend needs your help.

I am setting up this gofundme to help her with her loss of income and medical bills. The daily stress has been challenging, and has now increased as she now faces the possibility of another surgery, more recovery time, more missed time from work, mounting medical bills and possible loss of employment.

For those interested in helping this would be a great opportunity to bless someone who gives so much of herself to others. She would never ask for herself, so I'm doing that for her.
