Help Tammy’s family following devastating fire

Emergency support fund for Tammy and family following devastating house fire.
My next-door neighbor, Tammy, and her family’s lives turned upside-down when their home went up in flames on Saturday, November 18th. Although we are deeply grateful no one was hurt, we could do nothing but watch in horror as the fire claimed all their belongings and has left Tammy and her 6 children all without a home.
With support from Red Cross, Tammy’s family has been able to set up emergency shelter at a local motel for the next 7 days, but what lays beyond that is unknown. As a working single mom, Tammy lives paycheck to paycheck to support her family and has no emergency savings to pull from following this tragedy.
As their neighbor, friend, and someone who cares deeply for the entire family, I’m starting this go-fund-me to help raise the necessary funds for a new home - whether that continue to be in our neighborhood of Frogtown or elsewhere in the Twin Cities.
In order to secure housing, Tammy will need to provide first month and last month rent, plus security deposit – an anticipated $6,000-$8,000 up-front expense for a family of this size. Tammy will also need funds to replace lost clothes, personal items, food, and all the other essentials for day-to-day life for all 7 family members.
It’s with these expenses in mind that I am setting the goal of $10,000 for this fund. Every donation, large or small, will be a huge help to Tammy and her family as they try to move forward and rebuild.
If you can’t make a monetary contribution but would still like to help, sharing this campaign within your circles to increase its visibility and reach also goes a long way.
Your support and generosity is deeply appreciated.
