Hello, I'm James Caldwell, Tammy Caldwell's husband. Unfortunately, Tammy contracted Covid-19 in September and had to spend four days in the hospital. Upon release, her lung capacity was at 38%, necessitating the use of oxygen tanks at home. Currently, her lung capacity has improved to 60%, but she still requires continuous oxygen support and is bedridden.
As Tammy's primary caregiver, I also work full-time at E&T Plastics on Kennedy Rd, where I've been employed for 22 years. Thankfully, my workplace has been understanding and accommodating while I attend to Tammy's needs.
Due to the hefty medical bills, we find ourselves in a debt of $42,000. In addition to Covid, Tammy also suffers from COPD and asthma. Unfortunately, our medical insurance coverage falls short, leaving us with a significant financial burden. We have been together since 1985, and Tammy used to work full-time at Mcdonald's for 40 hours a week, for the past 25 years.
Currently, I am solely responsible for taking care of our animals, managing household responsibilities, and working around the clock to support Tammy. With her limited lung capacity, she is entirely dependent on the oxygen supply. Regrettably, we do not have any external assistance, and Tammy is unable to leave her bed.
