Tammy Cook's Eye Surgery
Donation protected
This spring, God blessed my parents with the opportunity to move into a new home. Unfortunately, during the moving process Tammy had a fall, backwards down the stairs. This fall lead to a ruptured left eye and weakened and bleeding blood vessels in both eyes resulting in blindness in one eye and near blindness in the other. For my mom, this has meant she hasn't been able to drive on her own since April, she is unable to read and working on the computer is an exhausting strain.
Her job as a bookkeeper requires her to read constantly and she has a tremendously difficult time working and being on the computer. Leaving things this way is clearly not a long term option for her. She has been careful to follow her doctor’s guidance so far and with several other procedures has seen some healing. However, the final step in her journey to see again is to address the rapidly growing cataracts. Her doctor has explained if they are able to do the surgery sooner rather than later, they should be able to restore full sight in both eyes even possibly without needing glasses in the future. Unfortunately, as this is the last of many steps toward healing, her HSA and personal resources have been drained from the previous treatments. Her doctor has cleared her to schedule the operation ASAP and has given her a short timeline come up with the funds. We need your help in making this happen prayerfully by October 15th.
Having confidence in God’s healing and provision through the people around her, we are asking you to participate in making this difficult stage in life a chance to praise Gods faithfulness.
