Tammy Di Ienno Surgery & Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Frances Di Ienno and my sister and I are asking for donations for our mother, Tammy Di Ienno, to help with her medical bills.
As most of her friends and family know, our mom is a very active and healthy person. She is a fitness instructor at the Cecil County YMCA and a customer-favorite trail guide at Fairwinds Farm & Stables. Her passion for fitness and horses has always quickly been seen by her clients, customers, and loved ones.
She is very kind and compassionate to everyone she meets and is always ready to lend a hand and offer support in any way she can, and is the best mother 2 daughters could ever ask for.
We never expected she would be facing what she is today.
Our mom began experiencing severe headaches and symptoms of a migraine the week of 11/07/2022. She went to Union Hospital due to the severity of the pain on Saturday, 11/12. The hospital concluded it was just a migraine, gave her something for her pain and sent her home without true relief of her symptoms.
On 11/14, after her mother, Deborah Gravely and sister, Sherrie Gravely, saw that she had worsening symptoms and was not getting up from bed. Her sister took her back to Union Hospital around 5PM; after 6hrs of waiting in the waiting room, they finally did a CT scan of her head, and at 3AM on 11/15 she was transported and admitted to Christiana Hospital.
Her head CT showed she had brain swelling and a mass on her right temporal lobe that was causing her severe pain.
At this time, the neurosurgeons are unsure what has caused this and what type of tumor they are dealing with.
11/16, the MRI results showed that the tumor has blood vessels through it and that they want to try surgery with vascular intervention before they attempt to remove the full tumor. If they decide to continue with the tumor removal as they had presumed, they expect Tammy to be in ICU for a few weeks.
We found that her insurance will not cover costs of her treatment or stay at the hospital, and we are looking for help.
We understand everyone is struggling financially. This is a difficult time in the year due to the holidays, so we do not expect donations, but more importantly, we ask that you please pray for Tammy and our family during this uncertain time.
It will be greatly appreciated if you can share this with friends and family.
