Herb & Tamera Bert

Many people know Tammy Bert for her love of animals, especially pit bulls. Tammy will do anything to help a person in need or an animal, no questions asked.

Unfortunately, Tammy and her husband Herb are in desperate need of assistance.

Herb had a heart attack a year ago and Tammy doesn't advertise it, but is disabled. They don't have any income and have sold most of the little belongings they had to pay bills.

Herb received a second chance at life by being blessed with a heart transplant in late October. He's been out of work for over a year and was in the hospital for over 8 weeks prior to receiving a heart.

This has placed a tremendous financial burden that wasn't expected. They don't have money to pay for their rent or other bills and expenses. She is scared they're going to end up on the streets. They don't have money to get gas so she could take Herb to doctor appointments and therapy several times a week. It's crucial that he goes to these appointments with the heart transplant. Paying for parking at doctor appointments is another expense, not to mention prescriptions. Their car is acting up and needswork.

With Christmas a few weeks away its very depressing knowing they can't afford the basic necessities. The stress of all this is taking a toll on both of them.

They have a long road ahead of them with many obstacles to overcome.
