Tammy's Battle Fund
Tammy has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Acinar Cell Carcinoma which
is a very rare tumor accounting for only about 1% of all pancreatic
cancers. At this time Tammy's doctors are not recommending surgery nor radiation for fear the tumors will spread. Therefore the doctors are going to treat her with chemotherapy scheduled to begin on February 4th.
Tammy became sick a couple of weeks before Christmas thinking she
had the flu. She was sick and then felt a little better and then became
sick again. When this 'bug' would not go away, she went to the hospital where they did an x-ray and discovered tiny cyst-like tumors in her
stomach and a larger tumor near her pancreas. She has been back in
the hospital since being diagnosed due to severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Thankfully she was recently released from the hospital and is waiting to get her port for chemotherapy.
Tammy's daughter Kierra along with her son, Kaelin, live with Tammy
and she has been the sole provider of the household. Kierra attends a
vocational school full time and works part time. She is taking time off
of school to help her mother during this difficult time.
As of now, Tammy is unable to return to work. With chemotherapy on
the horizon she is not sure when she will be able to return. Tammy has ALWAYS been an incredible friend to anyone she meets. She will help
anyone at any time that is in need. She has never asked for help and has always been a very independent, positive person that has always
looked at the good no matter her circumstances.
On behalf of Tammy and her family we are asking if you can help with a donation. Any amount would be appreciated and if you cannot donate please keep her and her family in your prayers. These next few months are going to be very trying as she starts her chemotherapy. The last
thing that we want is for her to worry about finances. We are
collecting for her rent, utilities, insurance, medical co-pays, groceries,
etc. Being sick is bad enough, but she shouldn't have to worry about
her bills. Please help if you can!!! Thank you so much!!!
