The Lightholder Family
Donation protected
Most of you are familiar with Miss Tammy Lightholder, who has been teaching at Concord Christian since 1996. Ms. Lightholder has made a profound difference in the lives of hundreds of CCS students as a teacher, sponsor of clubs, mentor and friend. As you may or may not be aware, Miss Lightholder’s father has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and is currently hospitalized recovering from pneumonia brought on by his chemotherapy treatments. For a number of years, Miss Lightholder has served as her father’s primary, in-home caregiver. As you can imagine, the emotional and financial stress of trying to teach full-time while caring for her father is great – especially now.
Today, we are reaching out to our Concord Christian family to ask that you consider making a donation to a Go Fund Me campaign set up to assist Miss Lightholder and her father. We know the needs are many and there are those who may not be able to help right now but we wanted to give everyone a chance to be a blessing to Miss Lightholder and her father. II Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” No amount is too small and you can make an anonymous donation. Anything that you do will help this family to ease the financial demands associated with Mr. Lightholder’s ongoing care. Galatians 6:2 reminds us to, “Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
The purpose of this letter is to bring about awareness, and to give you information on how to help if you feel led to do so. If you would like to help, simply visit https://www.gofundme.com/ tammylightholder. One hundred percent of the funds will directly go to The Lightholder Family to assist with their expenses.
We continue to ask you to pray that Miss Lightholder’s father, Chuck, will be completely healed of his cancer and any illness associated with it and that his strength will be renewed and that his spirit is lifted up. Also, please pray for Miss Lightholder’s strength and well-being on a daily basis.
