Tammy's Faith - The Battle Continues

Donation protected
Tammy has overcome and continues to battle many obstacles in life; emotionally, finically, and physically. She struggles with emotional distress everyday with her son who is battling addiction. Knowing that no matter how many resources she utilizes, it is up to her owns son's willingness to put down the drugs himself and fight. Her grandson that she cares for is autistic and unable to communicate on a verbal note. He only responds with stimuli, yelling, or even screaming. She keeps a close watch on him and responds to his cues to determine when he is illor unwell. Physically she is combatting breast cancer and undergoing chemo treatments, while dealing with the major side effects that has taken a toll over her physical wellbeing. She suffers from sever neuropathy that is affecting her mobility and self-independence. She is forced to rely on others for transportation due to physical limitations. Transportation locations include doctors' appointments, for her and her 3 grandchildren who she is caring for, grocery store errands, and dropping her grandchildren off to school. Financially, she must accumulate 800 dollars a month to afford the cost of her medical expenses to continue her treatments over the course of a year's time. Unfortunately, she is unable to work due to her physical limitations and she has exhausted all her FMLA hours. Tammy has extraordinary work ethics and has maintained a job and her own independence since she was 16 years of age. She has raised 3 children and is currently caring for 3 grandchildren. Life throws you obstacles and without hesitation her perseverance and strong faith continues to prevail. I have watched her pray through the hard times and praise through the moments of triumph. You might ask, who is this amazing woman that I speak so highly of? The answer is simple... She is my mother. She always taught me that no matter how hard life can be, our God is bigger. There may be doubts, but there is also faith. God only gives us so many breaths in life and it is up to us to make each moment count. My mother has always given in life and never one wondered what she expects in return. A few years ago, when I was struggling financially, she allowed me to return home with my child and husband to make sure I completed nursing school. I graduated in 2019 with my Associate of Science in Nursing. Due to my parent's love, support, and unconditional faith I can care for others in their darkest hours of desperation and hope. It troubles me that I am unable to meet all her needs in her darkest hour. My mother is the foundation of our family. I am praying to God and asking our community to reach out and lend a helping hand, whether it be donations or just sharing our post. May God bless each and everyone of you that has taken the time to read and share my mom's story.
