On November 28th, 2024, Tammy Hallan-Towner passed away. On a day to celebrate and be thankful for the many things in life tragedy struck. Tammy had a massive heart attack and did not make it.
Tammy was a woman who was loved by many. She worked at the after-school care program at Assumption Catholic School in Hibbing, MN. I had the honor of working by Tammy’s side where our friendship first began. While working with Tammy I saw a woman who loved children and loved watching them grow and succeed. I always enjoyed going to different events with her where kids she knew were participating. She always gleamed with pride and joy as they sang their songs, participated in sports or learned something new.
But what Tammy loved most was her family. Her husband Jerry, married for 26 years, and their girl Braedyn, who is 9 years old. Tammy helped Jerry support their family financially, especially after Jerry was injured at work. She worked many hours and did all she could to help provide where she could. Where I saw her glow with pride the most and have great joy was in Braedyn. She never wanted Brayden to miss out on any opportunity that came her way. Many nights a week she brought Braedyn to sports, scouts, and countless events on the Iron Range. Tammy was a rock for their family.
Jerry is now faced with funeral expenses, loss of income, gas for travel to work and Brayden to school and events, a new furnace they had to just put in weeks ago and all the other normal living expenses. Please, help Jerry and Braedyn as they mourn the loss of Tammy and have many financial burdens. Especially over this holiday season.
Tammy, we love you and thank you for the joy you brought to so many!
