Tampa City Council Election 2023 District 3

Donation protected

My name is K.J. Allen and I’m fundraising for the Tampa City Council (District 3) election in 2023.

We’re almost in the eleventh hour as the qualifying date of January 20, 2023 approaches for potential council candidates. In all honesty, I feel really great about the outcome of becoming a councilman for the City of Tampa.

One of the main reasons I decided to run for City Council is because of the belief that I could from family and friends. The patience and grace they showed me, gave me not only the belief, but the drive and persistence needed to do so.

There’s an old adage that many educators are familiar with; “To teach is to learn twice.” I’ve dedicated nearly a decade to assisting with the development of the youth: as a teacher, counselor, and mentor. We tend to balance both professional and personal matters in an academic athmosphere, but the job requires a great deal of honesty.

The conversations with my students are usually about the lectures, but as you may know, the youth are naturally inquisitive. One of my sophomore students asked me, “What are you going to do after teaching?” I was curious to know why he would ask me that question because most students don’t want me to leave. His response was just the extra push I needed to represent not only my family, friends, and community, but continue work  towards the best interest of the youth as well. My response was simple, “Run for City Council.”

I’m an advocate for the youth, son of retired military veterans, a formal Presidential list award recipient, Northeast Regional All-Conference winner, but most importantly, I am authentic. I would love the opportunity to represent the City of Tampa as a councilman for District 3.

Although I would love to continue to tell my story, the story is still being written. Our fundraiser will go directly to our campaign account and any contribution(s) and campaign expenses are able to be tracked monthly

The fundraiser is set at $5,000 (usd).
 $3,123.75 (qualifying fee).

Any additional funding over the qualifying fee will go towards building the website for the campaign as well as campaign signage.
