Tangi for Zye Portas
Donation protected
It’s with a heavy heart we are laying our 17 year old boy Zye to rest.
We were notified of Zye’s tragic passing after we were alerted about a fatality at the Bundamba Train Station early yesterday morning.
Zye’s suicide has shook many among our community, especially his family, sibling and peers. Many have gathered to pay tribute at the Bundamba station today and we thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It would mean the world to us to be able to give a Koha/donation to Zye’s family to give him the Tangi he deserves. We loose too many of our young men to suicide in our First Nations and Maori community and we are lost for words that we are now grieving for Zye.
