Tanglewood Warren Rabbit Sanctuary

Hi my name is Margaret I am fundraising for Tanglewood Warren Rabbit Sanctuary. We house between 45-50 rescue rabbits at one time, providing a forever home to unwanted, abused and neglected rabbits. Most of our bunnies are long term residents because they have health issues that require special care. Sometimes we rescue bunnies that are suitable to be re-homed, and so we do our best to find loving homes for them to spend their days.

We have built large specialised enclosures which includes heating, air con, and diggable runs (underwired).

The funds raised from this page will go towards the sanctuary’s vet bills, as this is our biggest expenditure (we currently owe almost £31k, despite half being insured and despite regular payments!). Many of our rabbits need specialised treatments and regular dental procedures. We have bunnies with complex needs such as heart failure, abscesses, respiratory diseases, infections etc and have previously had bunnies with cancers.

Rabbits are one of the UK’s most popular pets, but there is so much misinformation and mistreatment, that sadly makes rescue centres like us vitally important. Thousands of rabbits are abandoned each year, as tragically they are seen as a ‘throw away’ pet.

Rabbits are in fact intelligent creatures that need a lot of space and stimulation, which many people find out too late.
