Tanisha Phillips service arrangements

Hello All that this message is received by. It painfully bring me to say that unfortunately Tanisha Phillips has been called home on 3/9 . Tanisha was loving , caring and always welcoming to everyone and did not Discriminate.  Tanisha was 25?_ when she gained her wings to heaven. Tanisha has spent many of her years caring for others , in many places such as LGBTQ community centers and homeless shelters around the District of Columbia. With a personality that will light up a room or a smile that will Pierce your heart with welcoming arms, she was such a loving ambitious spirit.. Tanisha, since a young child  she devoted her life to giving back to others, and pleadged to always look out for younger trans sisters especially those who came from unfortunate situation like her own. Whether it was clothes off her back or money out her hard earned pocket, she was always willing to give. Tanisha has lost both her biological parents , and has been in and out of foster care. Retained as a young juvenile and shuffling through homeless shelters and outreach programs. Tanisha has one brother whos is currently serving in the military. This is extremely hard for the community & another fallen sister for the trans community. Being a women of trans in the world is extremely hard , and it is harder to find acceptance. Tanisha broke through that barrier and wanted better for the entire world not just for herself. Extremely ambitious and determined to do better for herself despite the odd stacks against her. Tanisha was a STAR not just to the community but to everyone. "We offer to you, Loving God, the gifts and needs of youth. Bless them with your guiding grace as they face the challenges and opportunities in their lives.Touch their hearts with the gentleness of your love, that they may know they are valued and valuable beings. Send your spirit of hope to their lives, that they may believe in themselves and know they are needed in this world. Grace them with the gift of joy that they may celebrate life through laughter and tears alike. Guide us, as we continue to grow in appreciation of the many gifts of young people, in the ministry opportunities we offer to them, in the journey of faith we walk with them, in our shared mission as a community called to discipleship in the world. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen." One of Tanisha favorite prayers. Help us bury Tanisha
