Tanna and Hartley's fight against Lyme disease

Small things / Big impact
So, there are these two sisters.
They have chronic Lyme disease (CLD).
One little tick. One little bite. Neither one even knew it happened.
The resulting symptoms — intermittent fever and flu-like symptoms, joint pain, fatigue, nausea, weight loss, insomnia, gastroparesis, cognitive impairment, anxiety — confused doctors for years and left the girls as prisoners in their own bodies.
Since Tanna was young, the diagnoses fluctuated: gluten intolerance, dairy intolerance, Crohn’s disease — but the true culprit, CLD, went undiscovered for years. Finally, a series of tests were done for Lyme: Positive.
Hartley’s early signs of illness differed from her sister’s, so initially a link wasn’t drawn between them. But in later years, similar symptoms appeared, mimicking Tanna’s, which led to another positive Lyme diagnosis, ultimately uniting the journey with her sister.
Separately, and now together, the girls have pursued various methods of medical healing and repair and now have the opportunity for cutting-edge treatment in Mexico. The girls and their parents head there on Sunday with several weeks of intense therapies beginning on Monday, 9/26/22. The success rate with hyperthermia and the adjunctive-focused treatments included in this upcoming medical care plan give hope.
While we are grateful that such treatment options exist, they don’t come cheaply, and we are asking for you to partner with us to help cover travel, lodging, and medical expenses. Please prayerfully consider donating.
Every movement forward brings a new horizon. There may be lingering battles, continued needs for meds and further treatments; however, this is the immediate next phase of Tanna and Hartley’s healing journey. We are praying this step brings the girls to a place where they can once again make plans, dream, and do the things they are so gifted in.
Thanks for reading.
Thanks for praying.
Thanks for taking part in the small things which can have a very big impact.
Every small gift counts.
Aloha,
