Tanya McKay

Hi. I’m David Yoder and my wife Angie are setting up a Go Fund Me for our niece, Tanya McKay of Kelowna BC. Tanya has in the last month been diagnosed with a form of breast cancer. This cancer has spread to her back, spine and hip with a small spot on her brain. Thankfully it has not invaded any organs but physical mobility has become uncomfortable for her. Although Tanya and her family are still in the process of learning what the full treatment path will take, the road ahead of her is challenging.

Tanya and her family have been hit hard with the tragedy over the last few years, losing her father-in-law to cancer, her mother-in-law presently dealing with cancer and her only sibling, her brother, Jared Zook being killed in the Kelowna Crane Collapse in July of 2021.

Tanya is the mother to six children ages 5-17. As mobility has become an issue and the pain associated with this cancer makes looking after her young family a challenge. Your support will help with needed home care, meals and any treatments deemed necessary by her medical team and help ease some of the burden. In addition to this health challenge, this young family is faced with the need to move from their current home as the land they are on is in the process of being redeveloped.

Tanya is a fighter so as a family we are grateful for your love, prayers and support as we overcome this challenge.
