My name is Leah Espinosa. I am the daughter of Tanya and Dwayne Wiggins. This past Sunday, my precious mother was taken from us suddenly, and the many who knew and loved her are reeling in the shock of her loss. Ten days prior to her passing she had surgery to remove her gallbladder. Sunday night she had to be rushed to the ER via ambulace due to what we know now was an electrical heart attack. Due to her just completing surgery ten days prior, her body could not withstand the trauma of CPR and eventually passed from blood loss.
Mom was the kindest and most compassionate person I've ever known, with a big heart, in which she held space for everyone. Her absence leaves a hole in our lives that can never be filled. She is the person we all would be leaning on right now, and we are learning to lean on each other during this difficult time.
As we plan the arrangements for laying her to rest, we are reaching out to the many family and friends in her community, who would like to help us minimize the financial burden of her unexpected departure, which includes a private autopsy, medical and burial costs, and other miscellaneous family expenses.
It means so much to us that so many of her coworkers, friends and family are compelled to offer assistance. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family, and we greatly appreciate the financial relief, as it allows us to focus on lifting up her memory and honoring her through the process of letting her go.
