Tanzanian farm family with a vision

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jan, and my husband Steve and I recently went on a trip to Tanzania. While there, we met a farmer named Bruno, his wife Hilder, and their children. Bruno is the youngest of his siblings, which means he takes care of his parents, while creating a visionary farm on a beautiful hillside of Karatu. It's a fully sustainable farm--for instance, he uses the cow manure for both fertilizer as well as a means to fully create gas for cooking. He uses milk from his cows to make cheese and dairy products for his family, and sells the milk from his cows to local villagers and businesses. He has researched a particular breed of cow which he would like to purchase from Kenya...this will necessitate traveling there and purchasing additional cows.
We were touched by the warmth and friendliness of Bruno's family. He and his wife Hilder are raising his son, daughters and nieces--on the day we visited, his daughter and niece were studying together for their seventh grade exam, their success clearly important to the family.
Please help us support this family's vision of sustainable farming in Tanzania.
