We get by with a little help from our friends ❤️
On September 17, 2020, after a couple weeks of being extremely ill, tests came back and Adam got news no one ever wants to hear.. You have Acute Luekema..
The plan to attack this disease went into motion instantly, as he was rushed to UC main hospital. That night he received a procedure known as Leukapheresis, basically like a dialysis but they filter out the white blood cells. Soon after they were able to confirm his type of acute Luekema was myeloid. A bone marrow biopsy was completed to find out what subtype of Acute Myeloid Luekema (AML) which we are still waiting on those results.
Doctors will start chemotherapy tomorrow on 9/21, as the more aggressive they act, the quicker we can get this behind us.
This news has demolished his and Emerson’s world. No child, no daddy’s girl, should ever have to receive news that dad is facing the battle of his life now.
Anyone who knows Adam and/or Emerson know they are each others world. She is the one being that can make his worse days better.. Unfortunately she will not get to see him through the next few weeksas his immune system will be weakened, and honestly Adam doesn’t want her to remember him being that sick.
To say the stress, emotions, and mental status is on overdrive Is an understatement, and all we can think is how to lessen his stress. Financially is the only thing in our hands. As medical co-pays, car payments and cell phone bills pile in, We would like that to not be a stress or burden while we focus on the most important thing, Adams health.
Any amount, no amount but shares.. Every little bit will aide in him being able to focus on his health, and get back to life.
Also, And more importantly, we believe in the power of prayer, our God is mighty, We ask that Adam be included in every Prayer chain out there❤️
