Tara and Maurice

Hello! For those of you who know my best friend Tara, you already know she is not one to ask for help of any kind, but is always the first to give it.

Maurice has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with Mets in the lungs and liver. Sadly, his cancer is terminal, and my heart breaks for all of the family. Maurice has already taken leave from work, and Tara is currently off work to be able to help with appointments and care for Maurice.

Terminal cancer is never a diagnosis a loved one wants to hear.

I am starting this fundraiser for them so that they can be together while they navigate what is ahead for them in the very near future.

Maurice and Tara will have their first oncology appointment next week, and will possibly get some answers for what lies ahead. Maurice is currently in the hospital awaiting surgery this week. After this surgery, his ongoing care will commence.

If there is any amount you could donate, I know how much it will be appreciated by the Plessis family. I would like to try to allow them to do some of the things they may not have the chance to do without the help of friends and family.
