Tara Eveland's Breast Cancer Fund

Donation protected
My wife, Tara Eveland, was diagnosed with type 2B Breast Cancer this year. We have been trying to manage the overwhelming tasks and costs that come with this diagnosis on our own and with some help from close family and friends. Luckily we have health insurance but as you may or may not know, insurance only covers so much cost and only after hitting a deductible and out-of-pocket max. Tara has continued to work 40 hours a week while going through her diagnosis and treatment. According to all the foundations, grants, and financial help available that we've looked into, we don't seem to qualify for any financial aid. With a new year coming up quick, those deductible and out-of-pocket max balances get reset to zero. We are just hoping to not be in debt for years to come over this diagnosis. We ask for your help this giving season in contributing any amount if you're able or simply sharing this page with others. We know there's a lot going on in the world, but anything helps!

Here are some things Tara has already undergone (as of 12/8/23) that we are still paying for:

Mammogram, Biopsy, MRI, an unsuccessful fertility preservation operation, port surgery, 3 rounds of chemotherapy, monthly Lupron hormone suppression injections, multiple consultations, medications, and co-pays.

Some things Tara has coming up in the coming months:

3 more rounds of chemotherapy with possibly more after surgery, mastectomy surgery (double or single TBD), reconstruction surgery, recovery, radiation (5 days a week for 6 weeks), more Lupron injections, and countless other checkups, co-pays, and medications including immunotherapy drugs for at least another year.
