Hi everyone, as most of you know my momma was brutally killed almost 3 years ago. As traumatic as the whole situation was, most people know what happened so I’ll spare those details. This GoFundMe is so we can afford to throw a proper memorial service for her. As it is long overdue. We don’t have much support financially because it’s mainly just me & my sister. I only have a part time job & in this economy, it’s barely possible to live off of that. I’m estimating around $8000 for the building, flowers, food, decorations, etc. My momma was the most carefree, selfless, wild lady I have & will ever know. She brung a light into everyone she knew, just by talking to them. She would give you the shirt off her back & the shoes off of her feet if you needed it. She even started her own organization called The Unbroken Angels, an organization that helped quite literally anyone who needed it. Needed a place to stay? My mommas got you. Need some food or some extra clothes? My mommas got you. Need to get away from that abusive boyfriend? My mommas got you & she wouldn’t be afraid to talk some sense into him too. That always scared me, how confrontational she was. & if you’re wondering “why did we wait so long?” We just got my sweet mother’s ashes back. Since her body is part of an investigation, they wanted to be thorough before she was released back to us. 2 & a half years might be pushing it, but I’m happy to have her back regardless. I am also so grateful in advance for anyone who chooses to donate. Not only would it relieve the stress of having to save it all up on my own, but knowing she has so many people there for her makes me feel a little better. My momma was my best friend. When she died, I was already dealing with some mental health issues. Issues that only my mom understood. I feel as if having a memorial for her might bring me, my family, & her friends a little bit more peace. (Probably not more than having her murderers finally sentenced) but regardless, I am ready to properly remember her. Nothing about my mommas life was easy, or normal. & nothing about her death was either. Now I’ll wrap this up by saying again, thank you if you choose to donate. After we have some money raised, I will find the venue where I want to have the memorial, & I’ll get a date for you guys.
