Target CSF Leaks

 Target CSF Leaks is a new charity recently registered in England & Wales with the Charity Commission, registered charity no.1209509 (as of 8th August 2024) This milestone is a significant step forward in our mission to raise awareness and provide resources for those affected by CSF leaks.

 Our mission at 'Target CSF Leaks' is ambitious yet simple: to help as many people as possible who are battling with CSF leaks. We aim to be a source of hope, information, and support. CSF leaks are not as rare as the literature makes out, however, the awareness and understanding of this condition is poor, causing delays in diagnosing patients. At Target CSF Leaks, we are more than just a charity; we are a beacon of hope for those affected by CSF leaks. 

Through our dedicated team, innovative approach, and unwavering commitment to our cause, we will strive to make a difference, one life at a time. In order for us to achieve what we need to; we ask for your generosity. 

 We need to raise as much money as possible to be able to: 

• Upgrade our WordPress Website so we can make use of tools to make it better: targetcsfleaks.uk 

• Produce high-quality leaflets and distribute them widely.

• Produce high-quality, informative videos. 

• Continue to run our online support group, “Leaky Café”, which started in October 2023. 

• We would like to be in a position where we can offer grants to low-income patients who need specialist help. 

 By doing all this and so much more, we can start to make a difference to those who need help. 

The charities objects, as stated in our constitution: 

• To preserve and protect the health of persons affected by a cerebrospinal fluid leak (csf) by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities, grants, support, advice and education services and equipment not normally provided by the statutory authorities, as well as advocating for effective diagnostic and treatment options. 

• To relieve the needs of persons affected by a cerebrospinal fluid leak by providing a self-help support group to patients and carers and to educate and increase awareness of the public and healthcare professionals about cerebrospinal fluid leaks.
