Tarie's Medical & Unemployed

Donation protected
In November Tarie went out on medical leave due to severe abdominal pain. Tests showed an abdominal mass and for a time it was thought to be cancer; possibly pancreatic. Further testing showed the mass to be located outside the pancreas. December 21st Tarie had exploratory surgery and spent 8 days in the hospital.

The surgeon found severe adhesion causing organs to be attached together causing the severe pain.  Each adhesion had to be meticulously removed.

He also took a biopsy of the mass. The biopsy showed sclerosing mesenteritis, also called mesenteric panniculitis, which occurs when the tissue (mesentery) that holds the small intestines in place becomes inflamed and forms scar tissue. Sclerosing mesenteritis is rare, and it's not clear what causes it.

Recovery has been hard. Her primary care has been working on pain control, disease management and dietary changes.

Medical bills have been extensive. To top it off FMLA has run out and Tarie only had short term disability benefits which have also run out. Unemployment may not be an approved because her primary care has still not approve her to return to work.

Financially things are going to be difficult living on one pay check and any assistance that can be given is appreciate.

Please forward to anyone else that might be willing to help!
