Funeral for Tarrin Andrews
Donation protected
We are taking up donations to give Tarrin a service that will honor his life and be large enough to accomodate everyone who loved him. We'd like to be able to cover the costs of his cremation, funeral, and his mother's transportation from her convalescent home. All additional funds will go to his family and mother's medical costs.
Tarrin was a 24-year-old writer, advisor through the youth and government program at Westchester YMCA, and a friend to many. He loved dogs, Tweeting jokes, whiskey and wine, taking his friends clothes and looking better in them than they did, babysitting, music, debating, his incredible mother, and seeing his loved ones happy.
We'll remember him through the countless lives he touched, both in his life and in his work. His writing moved us to tears, laughs, and made so many people feel less alone. We want to honor his legacy with a service that pays tribute to his indomitable character — the service he deserves.
***UPDATE*** Hi! We are so amazed and so grateful for the outpouring of support and donations so far. We now have the opportunity to send his immediate family on a boat to spread his ashes in the ocean as he would've wanted. It is more expensive, but it will be very personal, beautiful and intimate. Additionally, engraved lockets can be made for his mother and brother to preserve the ashes in memoriam. Please continue to share this post and help make this dream a reality. Again, all additional funds will be to support the ongoing health of his mother and his family.
Additionally, we're collecting photos, videos, notes, and anything else his family and friends would find comfort in seeing. Please email [email redacted] to contribute.
