Natacha “Tasha” Christine McKinley
Tasha McKinley passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in Naples, FL at the age of 46 years old. Natacha was born on November 23, 1976 in New York. She called a lot of places home throughout her life, including: Fort Worth, Texas, Newport, Rhode Island, Honolulu, Hawaii, and The Villages, Florida.
Natacha attended Haltom High School in Haltom City, TX and furthered her education at the University of Rhode Island (Bachelor of Science, Psychology) and Texas Woman's University (Master of Psychology). She served as a school psychologist professionally for many years.
Tasha had countless friends, who were like family, and she never met a stranger in her life. She enjoyed her life to the fullest at every opportunity and was an unapologetic, genuine soul. She adored traveling and experiencing new cultures, loved a good debate about any topic (controversial or not), had a questionable relationship with all types of music genres, pranked people at every chance, gut-laughed with the biggest smile, was an avid reader, and thrived best during a quiet and predictable night at home with her family and friends.
Tasha is survived by her four children, Ashten “Halee” Runnels of Key Largo, Florida, Mikayla McKinley of Tallahassee, Florida, Ethan McKinley of Lady Lake, Florida, and Dylan McKinley of Lady Lake, Florida, two grandchildren, Camden and Preslee, her mother, Maika Cummings and stepfather Lloyd, and former husbands Austin “Lee” Runnels and Michael “Mike” McKinley.
Natacha was preceded in death by her father Scott Cummings, brother Ian Cummings, and brother Bryan Cummings.
A celebration of Tasha’s life will be held at Oasis Naples Church in Naples, Florida, from 11:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Details of a post-ceremony event will be communicated at the formal service.
Donations to the GoFundMe for the support of the children are preferred in lieu of flowers.
