Tataskweyak Cree Nation Fire Loss Support

On behalf of the Leadership & Community Members of Tataskweyak Cree Nation (Split Lake). We are facing yet another challenge. Again People in our Community have come to the aid of their Cousins, Uncles, Aunts, and Most of All all, Our Children.

Forty-two members are displaced (10 Families) not only did they lose their homes, but they were also traumatized by what they witnessed. These Families need various kinds of support.

Hats Off and Much Respect to our neighbouring communities of York Landing (York Factory Cree Nation) and Gillam for their help. These communities brought their Fire Department to our community to assist without any hesitation.

Our own Front Line Workers acted immediately with what they had. Our Members acted with instinct, they knew what had to be done. They Love their Community

We continue to pray for our Heroes and Survivors. Please say a Prayer for Shenika Chornoby and Baby Ronnie Wavey.

Thank you for the Clothes Donation. We are now requesting Monetary Donations for other essential needs.
