Tathra fire victim fund for Julie K
Donation protected
Hi all,
My mum Julie has lost her home, studio and all her possessions in the recent Tathra bushfire. I am raising some funds to get her back on her feet. She has had an incredibly difficult time this past year with her marriage ending, and the recent loss of her father as well as one of her closest friends. She was just starting to rebuild her life when this catastrophe struck.
She doesn't have a steady job or any financial support, and was in Canberra when the fire struck so was unable to save anything - not even her laptop, a box of photographs, or our beloved pet python Sabrina. Mum is an artist and has lost all her art and resources. As you can see from the photograph, the house has been decimated.
Any amount you can spare to help Mum get through this devastation will be incredibly appreciated. She has basic insurance but it won't cover all the art and other particulars, not to mention the family heirlooms, and all our sentimental treasures. She needs money for basic essentials, including food, petrol and phone costs, as well as a replacement laptop and other items that will allow her to rebuild a livelihood.
To have less financial stress at this difficult time will make an enormous difference, even if it's just a little.
Peace and love.
