Taxdahl Family Landslide Recovery
Donation protected
On Thanksgiving Day the Skagit River changed course in downtown Lyman, flooding a small slough. The force of the water took out hundreds of feet of land and multiple out buildings for everyone living on that road. The water is receding but the land around the house keeps crumbling. The damage has left their home uninhabitable and very unstable. With every piece of land that slides off into the river, their house hangs a little further over the edge and ready to fall in. The Taxdahl’s are a young family with three little girls all under the age of six. Last night everyone rallied together to help evacuate their house, and they are so grateful for the kindness of their family, friends and neighbors. We know that there are so many families right now struggling with the flooding in concrete and Hamilton, and with the holiday season coming up, but anything would be so helpful.
