Help Taylor Ann Stringer with health-care costs

Before life broke bad for my best friend, Patty, she and her husband, Ron, were your typical hard-working couple. Both worked steadily throughout their lives to meet the needs and expenses of their family of four.

Recently, though, life delivered two cruel blows.

In 2022, Ron, the family breadwinner, unexpectedly died. Later that same year, Patty and Ron’s daughter , Taylor Ann, was diagnosed with ALS -- aka Lou Gehrig’s disease -- which only worsens over time and for which there is no cure.

For Taylor, it was a real gut punch -- particularly financially. She was making a good living as a med-surg tech when she tested positive for ALS two years ago. Forced to stop working at 39, Taylor never had enough time to sock away enough money to meet such steep health-care costs.

As the fundraiser organizer, I have tried to describe this challenging situation as accurately as possible, my sole goal being to raise enough funds to make Taylor’s final days as comfortable and dignified as possible. As you consider making a donation, and in advance, thank you -- and God bless!
