Today a friend asked me how they could help support local, small businesses.
Well, after much back and forth over the past week, given that we are in a very business-centric district- we made the tremendously difficult decision to close our doors for the upcoming weeks. Under conditions of incredible uncertainty, there is no one, for whom this is more impactful, stressful and difficult than our incredible staff..
As a small business and local cafe, we rely on our staff to provide the spirit, the experience and the soul of Taylor St for our beloved regulars, neighbours, fellow building tenants and extended community.
In an effort to continue to support our staff and their families in these difficult times, we are raising money from our community to provide immediate relief to help offset Taylor Streeter's lost income. While we hope the government will soon provide assistance to our people, we have no definitive news yet.
All proceeds raised will be donated directly to our people..
Take the necessary steps to be safe and take care of one other and please consider making a donation to help support our the Taylor St family. Every single dollar counts.
