Taylor Tatum's Battle with Colon Cancer
Donation protected
Zach & Taylor Tatum are Upstate natives and Anderson University graduates. Zach serves the community as an officer with SCDNR and Taylor served the community for many years as a teacher.
In 2017, Zach & Taylor were excited to learn they were expecting a baby boy in early 2018. Midway through the pregnancy, their son, Landon, was diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia + Congenital Heart Defect (CDH + CHD). After Landon’s birth, he spent 323 consecutive days in the hospital, underwent more than 13 surgeries, multiple procedures, and was finally brought home for the first time 10 days before his first birthday.
Landon is now 4 years old, and has overcome more obstacles than most could ever imagine. We’ve watched in awe as Zach & Taylor have provided him the best care possible. Their fervent faith has been an inspiration to us all. Landon’s life is a testimony to their strength, courage, and trust in the Lord.
This precious family who has gracefully overcome so many hurdles, is now facing another.
This summer, Taylor started dealing with some health issues involving iron deficiency, anemia, and severe stomach/abdominal pain. On August 19th, Taylor was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has already spread to her liver. Taylor will soon start chemotherapy to tackle the cancer with full force. We have witnessed God work miracles for this family and we know He is capable of more. #TaylorTatumsStory
