Taylor’s fight against Glioblastoma
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Garrett Hunter and I'm fundraising for my sister Taylor Hunter.
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate hearted strangers,
I am reaching out to you because we are in need of your help as we attempt to save the life of my incredible sister Taylor. Daughter, Granddaughter, Niece, AunTay, and cherished Friend.

Taylor is a strong, vibrant woman who radiates kindness to everyone she meets. Through her love of travel, Taylor has forged lasting friendships all over the world and has become a loved family member to the host families she lived with while on the Rotary Youth Exchange.

One of Taylor’s greatest attributes is her genuine care and empathy for others. If you are blessed enough to know Taylor, then you know that there is nothing Taylor wouldn’t do to help her friends, family, and strangers alike. Now the time has come for us to return that love and support.
Taylor’s bright future was drastically altered at the age of 23 years old with the diagnosis of Gr4 Glioblastoma. After struggling for 2 years and receiving a misdiagnosis, Taylor was rushed into a life-saving surgery on July 16th, 2022 where the Neurosurgeon removed a baseball-sized tumor. After surgery, Taylor was told that she would be paralyzed down the right side of her body due to the tumor being located in the left frontal lobe which controls movement. Unwilling to accept this fate, Taylor began physical rehabilitation just 2 days after surgery. Radiation and chemotherapy began in August through October and although Taylor suffered horribly from the side effects of treatment, with fierce determination she continued physical rehabilitation, and on the last day of treatment she walked out of the Cancer Clinic on her own esteem.

Glioblastoma is the deadliest, most aggressive form of brain cancer with the highest rate of recurrence. There is no cure.
Last week we received the devastating news that not only had the beast returned but now there are 2 new tumors that are located near the brainstem. This is an extremely vital area of the brain that controls breathing, blood pressure, heart rate and consciousness, etc. which makes it impossible to biopsy let alone remove.

Taylor’s options for treatment are severely limited but there is nothing that will stop us from turning over every rock and traveling to the ends of the earth to save our Taylor.
An aggressive course of radiation (20 treatments) begins this week in the hope of shrinking the tumors but there is no guarantee of the outcome.
Your love and support will help Taylor and our Family focus on one thing, Taylor’s health and survival. Anything you can donate to help with medical bills, travel expenses, trials, hospitals in other countries, and living costs will be so very much appreciated.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and generosity and for joining us in our fight against Glioblastoma.
Your contribution in any form will make a significant and meaningful impact and bring us closer to securing a healthier future for my Sister.
With love and grateful hearts,

Garrett and the Hunter family
