Dog attacked by Mountain Lion: Vet Bill Support

Hey, my name is Jasmin and I am creating this fundraiser to help support my best friend and her family with some unexpected veterinarian bills that came up after a traumatic event that occurred Friday, December 4th. Valerie's husband was outside their home in Silverlake, walking their dog Taz, when a mountain lion attacked the dog. Rene (her husband) was able to retrieve the dog after kicking and screaming at the mountain lion. Rene luckily only received a few scratches, but Taz, their Chihuahua, received some pretty deep bite marks and scratches that required stitches and medical attention. The mountain lion has been confirmed as the radio tracked mountain lion, P-022. This was not the first attack this mountain lion has engaged in, and they are working with the National Park Service to come up with next steps to avoid this from happening again. We are thankful that everyone survived the attack, but unfortunately, the veterinarian bill came up to $2, 000. Any level of support with helping pay off this bill will be a huge support to my friend's family.
