The first Orthodox Church in Northern Ireland

We are founding the first Orthodox church in Northern Ireland!

With the blessing of our Hierarch, His Grace Metropolitan Joseph, we are starting the collection for the purchase of the first Orthodox church in Northern Ireland – Belfast.

By contributing to the purchase of the church, each donor becomes a founder of the church and will be mentioned at every Holy Liturgy that will be officiated in this place by the priest serving at the Proscomidy when the Eucharistic bread is prepared and at the Exit with the Honorable Gifts: " May the Lord God remember the founders of this church in His kingdom always now and ever and unto the ages of ages" (passage from the Holy and Divine Liturgy).

IT IS NOT MUCH if we think that the Church is the ark that leads us to Christ, carries us to the eternal life and shelters us from the attacks of the evil one in this secular world. We want to offer the young people an alternative to materialism and nihilism through the presence of Orthodoxy in an Orthodox place.

May the Holy Spirit plant in your souls the desire to be founders and reward your love with the best and most useful of His rich gifts and graces!

Haideți să ctitorim prima biserică ortodoxă în Irlanda de Nord!

Cu binecuvântarea chiriarhului nostru, a Înalt Prea Sfințitului Mitropolit Iosif, pornim colecta pentru achiziționarea primului locaș ortodox în Irlanda de Nord – Belfast.

Binecuvintează Doamne pe cei ce iubesc podoaba casei Tale!

Prin contribuția la cumpărarea bisericii, fiecare donator devine ctitor al bisericii și va fi pomenit la fiecare Sf. Liturghie ce se va oficia în acest locaș de către preotul slujitor la Proscomidie când se pregătește pâinea euharistică și la Ieșirea cu Cinstitele Daruri: “Pe ctitorii acestui Sfânt locaș să-i pomenească Domnul Dumnezeu întru împărăția Sa totdeauna acum și pururea și în vecii vecilor”.

NU ESTE MULT dacă ne gândim că Biserica este arca ce ne duce spre Hristos, ne poartă spre veșnicie și ne adăpostește de atacurile celui rău în această lume seculară. Vrem să oferim tinerelor vlăstare o alternativă la materialism și nihilism prin prezența Ortodoxiei într-un locaș ortodox.

Duhul Sfânt să vă sădească în suflete dorinţa de a ctitori şi să vă răsplătească dragostea cu cele mai bune şi mai de folos dintre darurile şi harurile Sale cele bogate!
