On Easter, my father had what was originally diagnosed as a stroke.  He was rushed at 3 a.m. to the ER and was treated for 3 days at Parma hospital as a "stroke patient."  His symtoms kept getting worse.  He couldn't speak, he couldn't read, and his entire right side was numb.  So an MRI was done and long story short, he had a brain absess.  Basically, he had what the doctors think was an absessed tooth that was infected, and that infection traveled to his brain.  He had a seizure from it and lost all of his speech.  He still cannot say full sentences or read or use his right hand or arm.

He was rushed for emergency brain surgery to UH hospital downtown and the absess was taken out.  Unfortunately, it came back.  So less than a week after his surgery, they did another brain surgery and took the fluid out again.  Days passed and his symtoms have not gotten any better.  Today is 4/29 and in about 3 hours, he is getting his 3rd brain surgery, less than a week from the last one again.

The reason I am putting this on here is because my father worked at Ford for 25 years and had to take permanent disability.  His other job after working 45 hours a week at Ford was his own plumbing business he has had since 1986.  Unfortunately, he will probably never do that again.  My mother does insurance reports and gets paid per report.  She has been by my father's side at the hospital since Easter and obviously can't work.  So they both are not working and my father is only 57 years old.  He has all of his business expenses still and it's not easy to pay bills while in the hospital and not working.

First, I just want to say my mother would probably be livid if she found out I was doing this.  Even if you can give $5 and can help pay some of their expenses for awhile, it would be a miracle to my family and relieve any financial stress they may have.  I have watched my father for over 30 years as a hard working man and the greatest person I know who would do anything for anyone, turn into a helpless man laying in a hospital bed not knowing how to read words like "cat" and "dog."  It's probably the hardest thing I've ever had to see in my life.  If you can't donate, I really do understand.  If you can give anything to help, my family would appreciate it greatly.  Please do not post this on social media or Facebook.  I am asking my Quicken Loans family here for any help you can give.  Thanks everyone.
