Couple Lost Everything in Fire

On Sunday November 19, 2017 at 6:15am we were planning on heading out to what was supposed to be a fun day at the Bears game only to face the unthinkable. As we were about to leave for the train we heard fire alarms and opened our apartment door to find our hallway engulfed in flames. We ran out as fast as we could to save ourselves and left everything behind. We had no time to do anything else as the flames were moving fast and at our front door.

We. Lost. Everything. The flames traveled into all the units and took the little home we built together, along with all of our family heirlooms. All we have is the clothing we were wearing and the most important thing of all....our lives. We are so thankful to be alive and ok.

We are so blessed to have so much support and love around us. Many have asked us how they can help in any way. I am not one to set up fundraisers for myself or ever ask for anything. We feel helpless and lost right now...donations to this page will help us get back on our feet and help us to build up our clothing, shoes and basic belongings.
