Historic Rehabilitation
Help us restore our colored glass windows. Originals were shipped from Germany and installed circa 1844 at The Baptist Church in Warren, Warren, Rhode Island. We are still in need of funds to pay down the debt incurred to restore these windows! There are also 5 more windows in need of restoration!
This is a view of a window from the outside.
Notice the broken segment in the lower right.
There are 10 windows to be restored, Each window has 4 sections. The total cost will be $80,000 (that's $2,000 per section)! The windows will be restored by local business owner Scott Mathison of Scott's Doors and Windows . When complete, the windows will be restored to original functionality.
The Baptist Church in Warren was chartered in 1764. Brown University was also organized here the same year and celebrated it's first graduates here!
