TBS Three Peaks Challenge
Donation protected
The Blandford School is committed to supporting our local community and for that reason, a team of teachers are taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge in April 2022 to raise money for the Blandford Foodbank and MyTime Young Carers. The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing and descending the UK’s 3 highest peaks, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, all within 24 hours. This equates to covering marathon distance on foot and well over 1000 miles in a minibus.
As the school aims to support our community, we would love the community to support us in our fundraising efforts. Any donation will go a long way to helping these two terrific organisations make a difference in many people’s lives.
The Blandford Foodbank
The Blandford Foodbank supports many families and individuals in the local community, providing food and drink for those who might struggle to provide for their households. In a very challenging economic climate, more and more households are faced with the unenviable challenge to either eat or heat their homes. Without the local Foodbank, these families would face even greater obstacles to support children and loved ones.
My Time Young Carers
MyTime Young Carers recently started working with The Blandford School to support young people who have responsibility for caring for members of their own family, adults and or children at home. These children often don’t get the freedom to live their own childhoods and need the intervention of charities such as MyTime to support their independence and provide opportunities they might not usually access.
Any donations are much appreciated, and all the financial proceeds will be split evenly between the two charities. Thank you so much for your contribution. We are extremely grateful for your support!
