Tchipakkan's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
This is my Mother, known as Arastorm the Golden in the SCA, Tchippakan in Pagan circles, and Virgina Richards-Taylor to everyone else. Her life has been spent teaching, helping and loving both the world and people in it.

On the 12th of July she got diagnosed with an infection, which was a relief as she'd sent an entire weekend crying in pain and having muscle spasms. She was given an antibotic, which she took, and she expected to recover.
Except she didn't; while we were at Pennsic, she got worse. Her weakness became pronounced, along with stiffness and muscle pain. She tried over the counter pain killers but they proved uneffective,

Our doctor thought she had relapsed on the infection, but the pain and weakness got so great that  on the 17th of August she willingly went to the ER to get whatever help she could get.  She was amitted for observation and was told it was malnutrition and dehydration. Sevral days later, she was relased, b ut on Sunday, one side of her face began drooping. fearing she'd had a stroke, she went back to the ER- for the reassuring diagnosis of Bell's Palsy
(Tchipakkan shown here checking for synergistic vitamins and interactions.)

She has no health insurance. Her only income is small bits from her art, teaching an an inheritance from her father, which will not streach to cover the bills this floods our small budget with. It may not seem like a lot compare to others, but it's quite a mountain for our household to climb.

Asking for help is hard when you're more used to and comfortable being the one giving it, but the time has come to do that.
We're doing our best to get what financial aid we can, but any help that people can offer is welcome.

The money will go to the bills from the hospital and doctors, and paying off the medication we've put on our credit card. It would give us much needed emotional relief. At this point, I honestly don't know how we're going to do it. I'm personaly at the end my rope, and  I know my siblings aren't much better off. Helping her helps all of us, and makes us able to help other people in the future.

Thank you for reading this, thank you for consitering helping, an if you can help, even the smallest amount, thank you for that too. I have little I can offer anyone, but anyone who donates and leaves an adress will get a unique hand painted thank you card.
If you donate a lot I may hunt you down and ply you with soft cuddly crafts.

Edit: as of 8/24 we know the following- Her blood test for Lyme disease went out for further testing, which says to me they're deciding which particular strain it is, so what to dose her with. So there's -that-.
