Family and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out to you in order to help my family and me through these tough times ahead.
I am currently looking for financial support solely to help me afford adequate legal counsel and guidance through a difficult transition ahead, in order to keep myself and my family on our feet and moving forward. Although I am not at liberty to discuss the case until the litigation is over, my father John is open to talking with anyone who wants to reach to out to him at (562) [phone redacted].
My career of coaching is in danger, maybe lost. It has been a painful revelation, but one that I have come to terms with. I am proud to tell you I honestly wouldn't change a thing about the years I have given the sport of volleyball, or the experiences, opportunities, friendships and love it has shared with me. These memories are some of the things I cherish most in this world, and will be a part of me forever.
However the reality of my coaching coming to a stand-still, and so much of my time being spent volunteering in years past out of dedication and commitment to a future career that might no longer be in reach, has left me seeking out this desperately needed help. Combined with the medical battle my father has fought with his skin cancer and eyesight problems, and the impact it has had in regards to his ability to find work, the situation I find myself in hurts more to me because of the impact it will have on my family's future. I have spent every last part of my savings in the last two months to get through this, and will be looking everywhere for opportunities to work and support myself as much as possible.
I have always considered my family and I as very selfless people. Which is probably why even writing this is so hard for me to do. I wish I could promise each and every one of you that I would be able to pay back every dollar I raise, but that would not be a fair promise. What I will promise you is an honest and prompt use of every cent, and the utmost personal gratitude and appreciation from my family and I.
I owe it to my parents to do everything I possibly can to get through this like the strong young man they raised me to be. I owe it to myself to handle this situation with maturity, positivity, and to see this journey with growth in mind because that is who I am. Because that is what I want the rest of my life to be about. Which is why I am asking you with sincere humility to share any dollar you can with my family and I in order to help stay together and turn the page on this chapter in my life.
Sometimes things happen and force you take a step back, look at yourself in the mirror, and find what really matters in your life. I am doing that now. The more I think about it, the more obvious it is to me how important the love we share with family and friends is to our lives, and our well-being. And the support we will find and have already found from our family and friends, means more than words.
