Diane Greenberg Memorial Fund
Donation protected
In the very early morning on 2/5/20 my good friend's mother, Diane Greenberg, passed away. After nearly 5 years of fighting Stage IV adenocarcinoma of the stomach, liver, and kidneys, Diane's condition took a sudden dive and she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance shortly before midnight on 2/4/20. Despite the doctors' best efforts, Diane's symptoms were extremely acute and she passed away shortly after arriving. The sorrow of Diane's passing is magnified by the recent loss of her granddaughter, Emily Greenberg, who passed away after a tragic accident less than three weeks ago.
Please consider donating to this GoFundMe to aid the burden on these families as they manage the costs associated with Diane's care and the costs of transporting and lodging family coming from every corner of the United States...many of whom just made a similar trip for Emily less than a month ago.
Diane touched many, many lives. Through her son, Kyle, and his recent marriage to my close friend, Kathy, I met Diane during their wedding in October 2019. Her love for her family was profound, and she made several intentional efforts to welcome and include me. This GoFundMe is my attempt to reciprocate her hospitality.
The Greenbergs, the Slinns (Diane's maiden name), the Koontzes (Diane's sister's married name), and Diane's many other extended families (Jenkins, Kim, Guilfoyle, Blumenthal...amongst many more) will be holding an open memorial service for Diane on Tuesday, February 11th at Pierce Chapel, Wheaton College, from 7-8:30pm. They invite all who loved --or were loved by-- Diane to attend.
