Dante Wright's Eagle Project For Scottish Rite

Hi, my name is Dante Wright, a Boy Scout with Troop 77, and I am working on an Eagle Scout project for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Growing up with Cerebral Palsy, I spent a lot of time during my life being cared for by the wonderful physicians, therapists, and staff at Scottish Rite. They have made a huge difference treating my disability, helping me adapt, and preparing me for life - very similar to Boy Scouts!

Many times, while being treated myself, I have benefitted from the hard work of other Eagle Scout projects - such as toys, therapy equipment, and other accommodations. Ever since I joined scouts in First Grade as a Tiger back in Cub Scouts, I knew I wanted to become an Eagle Scout. And ever since I started thinking about an Eagle Project in Boy Scouts, I knew I wanted to do something to give back to Scottish Rite for all they have done to help children like myself.

What they really need right now is stuff for children to do while spending several hours at the clinic getting infusions. It can be very boring and depressing without having some entertainment to help pass the time. They currently have some gaming systems (PS4/XBox) that have been donated, but have not been loaded with any games and are not being used. I plan to use donations to get another gaming system (Nintendo Switch) and several digital games loaded on all of the systems for kids to actually play. I also plan on using donations for supplies and getting fellow scouts together to make goodie bags for the kids with various items, such as coloring/puzzle books, crayons, fidget toys, pop its, etc.

Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated, will be used thoughtfully, and will go to a great cause! I will make sure to post updates and we complete things.
