Jaxon Dean Heart Warriors

Jaxon had his second open heart surgery (the hemi-fontan to continue to repair his Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome) on April 23rd at Albany Med.  Over the weekend Jaxon suffered a stroke from a blood clot that went to the left side of his brain.  The stroke affected his right arm, leg and side of his mouth.   Because of his stroke, Jaxon would be more susceptible to seizures which is why he would need to be monitored 24/7.  The neurologist and family had decided to wait on seizure meds because it slows brain development.



Unfortunately on Wednesday, April 29th, Jaxon started having seizures every 2 minutes that were lasting about 30 seconds each. He suffered through 84 seizures before they finally had to put him on phenobarbitol to make them stop.  Any other meds they tried were not working.

Many have already inquired where to send monetary donations once again to help his family financially and with the monitoring system and other equipment Jaxon may need during his physical therapy and rehabilitation.
