Tea Peace- Loss of Home From Lahaina Wildfires

This fundraiser is for my best friend on Maui, Tea Peace.

Lahaina town has been faced with devastating fires. The destruction is ongoing not just homes are gone; the entire town is- boat harbor, historic buildings, medical centers, restraunts, business’s. It’s hard to wrap your mind around.

Tea’s a long time Lahaina resident and recently moved to a new home. Her building wasn’t even open for a year. Now everything she owns has been completely destroyed. All she has are the clothes on her back when she left to pick up her daughter and new grand baby at the airport the day the fires started (August 8th).

Tea opens her heart and soul to anyone she meets. If you have the pleasure of knowing Tea , you know just how incredible and powerful her presence is. There is nearly no one who loves as hard as her but also loves Lahaina as hard as she does. Lahaina is truly one of her great loves in life. To lose your belongings is one thing but to lose your entire home, your town, your livelihood is unfathomable.

I feel helpless being away from Maui and Tea, this is the only thing I can think of to help alleviate what truly cannot be replaced. Please help give back to my friend who has spent her entire life being a bright light to others

There are many fundraisers for relief right now. This is directly for Tea and only Tea to help her transition into this new reality. Easing her burden with new clothes, belongings, accomodation, etc.
