TEACH NEW PROVIDERS HOW TO LOVE YOU, THE PATIENT.

My name is Dr Michael Thorarinson.

In April of this year, during 2 frantic weeks, I condensed the advice I had given to folks on TikTok over the course of over two years, and I put it into a 117 page love letter to the chronically ill and chronic pain patient. I gave them everything they needed to learn to love themselves, and learn that they deserved great care, even from a system that is not designed to care (our modern healthcare system).

Now 6 months later, and about 2000 copies sold or given away, I want to expand the mission and use the very same book to teach providers the very same thing that I teach patients. I want them to learn, not just to provide competent care to the patient to recognize the responsibility to love the people they are providing this care to.

And as I am a very small fish if a GINORMOUS pond, I need your help. The medical establishment will never embrace my techniques enough to require new providers to read it, but with your help, we can at least make sure that many of them get the OPPORTUNITY to.

I want to GIVE these books to the medical community, at the points they are being educated, before they ever sign their name at the bottom of any chart. To do this I need your help. I am asking for donations of any size to help gather funds to send books, 100 at a time, directly as gifts to the education centers, to ask them to hand them out and to insist they read the first 20 pages. Those that do WILL finish the book, and even they are the hardest of hearts, they will learn that they have more responsibility to their fellow man that just to be "an expert in their field".

One conversation at at time, in the place that it matters most, in the room between the patient and the provider, we will create a space of mutual love and respect.
