Defend Justin Kucera: Fired for Pro-Trump Tweet

Beloved AP social studies teacher and varsity coach Justin Kucera was fired for tweeting out these 5 words, "Donald Trump is our president" on Twitter.  Seriously.  The school district immediately forced upon him a horrible ultimatum: either be fired or resign. Justin refused to resign and was summarily fired. To every decent human being, this is horrifying.

When injustices occur, we have to speak out against them. And act against them. 

Justin was a favorite teacher and coach amongst the student body. Students and parents have spoken out against the school board's decision, saying that he never brought politics into the classroom. One father stated that Kucera only lost his position because the administrators caved to the mob. This statement is not baseless, either. Other Walled Lake teachers were able to express left-leaning views in the classroom and online without facing repercussions.

Kucera wasn’t problematic in the slightest. He attests, reasonably, "Agree with [Trump] or not, you should want the president to do well.” You should want the President to succeed. In consequence, you should want America to succeed.
